Our core publishing purpose is education. We aim to publish works that not only appeal to a general readership, but also challenge students in high school and especially in college classrooms.

Most of our authors are experts in their fields and are available to speak at parent/teacher groups, college campuses, and other community or educational organizations. If you are interested in booking one of our authors for an event, please contact us at 800-786-3839 or email heidi@encounterbooks.com. We encourage sponsoring groups to work with local booksellers in planning events, but we are happy to make all the arrangements to insure that books and posters are available for participants.

If you would like to consider a book for classroom use, you can request a complimentary evaluation copy to be sent to you at your school address. You may email text@encounterbooks.com to order your examination copies. You may also fax or mail the requests to us on official letterhead.

Let us enhance your curriculum by customizing your course materials using our books. We utilize Copyright Clearance Center as a convenient one-stop shop for clearing permissions for photocopied coursepacks and classroom handouts, as well as internet-based course content for distance learning and electronic coursepacks. All of our books are available on microfiche from the U.S. Department of Education's Educational Resources Information Center (ERIC).
